Yes, there's a diagnostic fee for the visit. If you decide to go ahead with the repair, the service call fee applies toward the repair.

10% off labor for military and veterans, 10% off labor for seniors 60 and up, and $25 off labor for first-time customers. Diagnostic fee isn't included in any of these.

Range hood fan won't turn on?
Usually a failing fan motor, a blown fuse, or a switch issue. We check which one it is before recommending a repair.
Range hood lights not working?
Often just a bad bulb or LED module, but it can also be a wiring or switch issue. We check the simple things first.
Range hood making a loud noise?
Usually worn fan motor bearings, or grease and debris built up in the blower wheel. Both are straightforward to diagnose.
Range hood not pulling smoke or grease effectively?
Most often clogged grease filters, which is an easy fix. If cleaning the filters doesn't help, it's usually a weak or failing fan motor.
